Aleksander Twardowski

Aleksander Twardowski, 80, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born May 16, 1946, in Phaffenhofen, Germany, the son of Aleksander Twardowski Sr. and Anastasia (Czeredniczenko) Twardowski.

Alex was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and trapping. He always looked forward opening day. He also enjoyed hanging out and selling at the flea market every weekend. He made many cherished friends there. Alex had an extensive coin and gun collection. He liked to show them to anyone who was interested and he was very proud of the collection.

Alex was a proud Vietnam Veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. He truly loved his country.

He is survived by his children, Tara Bugg, Christen Twardowski, and Jason Twardowski; grandchildren, Megan (Ben) Kubesh, Ryan (Sydney) Bugg, and Rowan Bugg; siblings, Maria Twardowski and Eric (Lenna) Twardowski; along with nieces and nephew, Sasha (Kevin) Singletary, Nicole (Kenneth) Johnson, and Robert Twardowski.

Alex was preceded in passing by his parents and his wife, Martha Twardowski.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no public services at this time.
