Andrew Gordon Owen

Andrew Owen, 78, of Mattawan, passed away Sunday November 29, 2020 at his home.

He was born June 2, 1942 in Kalamazoo, the son of Andrew Owen Sr. and Lena (Britten) Owen.

Andrew served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He took great pride in his home, yard and garden. He loved to bake and was an avid and loyal Bingo player, all around the local area. He enjoyed traveling and enjoyed trips every few years to Hawaii where he would meet his service buddies. In addition he also enjoyed traveling to Canada to visit family.

He is survived by his three sisters, Barbara Owen, Shirley (Bill) Myers and Sandy (Virgil) Cole, along with many nieces and nephews.

Andrew was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene VanOcker and his brother, Paul Owen.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 7, 2020, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. at the Adams Funeral home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw.  Andrew will be laid to rest with military honors Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans.
