Arlie Chester Hammons III, known for his vibrant personality and diverse interests, passed away peacefully in Paw Paw, Michigan. He was born in Highland Park, Michigan, and throughout his life, he embodied the spirit of an eternal optimist.

Arlie led a fulfilling career and retired as a Postmaster in Southwest Michigan, where he dedicated his time to serving others. Beyond his professional endeavors, he was a man of many passions. An avid golfer and collector of oddities, Arlie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a remarkable talent for fixing things and was truly a jack of all trades. His love for motorcycles and acting brought out his adventurous spirit and creativity.

Among his hobbies and interests, Arlie was a member of various organizations such as the Elks, Knights of Columbus, and VFW. His involvement in these groups showcased his commitment to community and fellowship.

Arlie's quick wit, great sense of humor, and knack for storytelling were cherished by all who knew him. He found joy in music, often playing the guitar and participating in karaoke nights. During the holiday season, he delighted in playing the role of Santa for his social circles, spreading cheer wherever he went.

He is survived by his son, Micah Sosnowski, daughters, Stacey (Matt) Byrne, Stephanie (Armando) Eversley and Dena (Mike) McBride; sisters, Holly Hammons and Cheryl Hammons; and many grandchildren. Arlie is preceded in death by his father Arlie Chester Hammons Jr., mother Pamela Jean (Rosselli) Hammons, sister, Pamela Marie Hammons and one grandchild. 

Arlie Chester Hammons III will be fondly remembered for his larger-than-life personality, unwavering positivity, and his ability to make everyone around him smile. May his legacy live on through the memories shared by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
