Arthur John Arens, 96, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Mattawan, MI.
He was born June 24, 1928 in Hancock, Michigan, the son of William Arens and Margaret (Pelkofer) Arens.
Arthur and his late wife, Dorothy, founded the Paw Paw Everlast Label Company and enjoyed working there for many years. Arthur also worked for the State of Michigan in the Liquor Control Commission.
He is survived by his brother, Charles J. Arens, brother-in-law, Ken Belttari and many nieces and nephews.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Elaine (Belttari) Arens, on November 15, 2020. He is also preceded by his three brothers, Edward, Daniel and Paul and three sisters, Beatrice, Eleanor and Eunice.
Per Arthur's wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest next to Dorothy at Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton, Michigan this summer.
