Barbara Marie Morrison

Barbara Marie Morrison, 80, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 16, 2025, at Maple Lake Assisted Living in Paw Paw, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

She was born November 10, 1944, in Hillsdale, Michigan, the daughter of Lloyd G. Morrison and Shirley A. (Muffitt) Morrison.

Barbara received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University and later went back for her Master's at Western Michigan University. She taught at Paw Paw Public Schools for over 30 years as an elementary teacher. Although Barbara never had any children of her own, she considered every student she ever taught her children and cared for them like her own. She kept in touch with many of her former students and they even helped take care of her when her health declined.

Barbara loved to read and was a frequent customer at the Paw Paw District Library. They always put their new books on hold because they knew Barbara would want to read them! She also was an avid gardener and grew many gorgeous gardens, even receiving an award from the Village of Paw Paw for the best-looking garden.

Barbara will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her kind and generous spirit will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her brothers, Dennis (Patricia) Morrison and Steve (Bunee) Morrison; nieces and nephews, Christina (Leonard) Klok, Nika (Zevi) Bareket, Ron (Dava) Morrison and Avi Kayne; great nieces and nephews, Taylor Morrison, Alex Morrison, Maoz Bareket, Ori Bareket, Maria Morrison, and Jessica Klok.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

Per Barbara's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
