Betti Jo Loveland, 81, of Decatur, passed away peacefully Friday, January 17, 2025, at Blueberry Hill Assisted Living in Lawton.
She was born August 4, 1943, in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of Stafford and June (Getty) Hambly.
Betti Jo was a longtime Decatur resident and enjoyed being an active member of her community. She was a lifetime member of the Decatur VFW and the Decatur New Hope Community Church. Greyhounds were Betti Jo's love. She had adopted three over the years and gave them a loving home. Most dear to Betti Jo were her grandchildren. She always made time to support her grandchildren and looked forward to attending their sporting events.
She is survived by her son, Edward "John" (Robin) Madaras, daughter, Anne M. (Mike Woodward) Madaras, five grandchildren, Brandie (Dan) West, Amy (Kenny) Goodrich, Stephanie Carlock, Molly (Abram) Metzgar and Sarah Madaras. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, her brother, James (Cindy) Maxson, nieces, nephews and cousins. Betti Jo was preceded in death by her husbands, Rob Loveland, Carl Clark and Edward Madaras, as well as her sister, Sue Whitely.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a memorial service Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, with Jim Abshagen officiating. There will be a time of food and fellowship ship at the funeral home following services.
