Carl Frederick Silas, age 80, originally from Paw Paw suddenly passed away September 7, 2016 at his home in Winter Haven, Florida. Son of C. Clyde and Lorraine (Crofoot) Silas, a 1954 graduate of Paw Paw High School and a 1960 graduate of Western Michigan University. Preceded in death by his wife Ruth (Lanphear) three and a half months prior, parents, brother Clare Silas, son Zane Silas. Survived by five children: Kathleen (Kurt) Rennhack, Emily Sauer, Mary (Michael)Sutherland, Kristopher (Margie) Silas, and Hillary (Jamaine) Lucas. Grandchildren: Clare and Kevin Rennhack, Tyler Jo Chisenhall, Sierra Walston and Dakota Silas. Great-Grandchildren: Austin Hoy and Liberty Howell. Memorial visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home in Paw Paw on October 15, 2016 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. A memorial service will commence at 3:00 pm. Burial of Cremains will be at Wildey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family c/o Kathleen Rennhack, 502 W, Michigan Ave, Paw Paw, MI 49079.
