Christine Myers, age 58, of Paw Paw, Michigan, passed away on September 19th, 2025, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo, with her loving family by her side.
Christine was born at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo to Richard and Phyllis Seiler. She grew up in Paw Paw and graduated from Paw Paw High School with the class of 1985. After graduating, Christine proudly served her country in the United States Navy for five years as a Hospital Corpsman.
She went on to study at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and later transferred to the Bronson School of Nursing, where she began her lifelong calling of caring for others. After completing her nursing education, she continued her career as a registered nurse for more than 20 years, dedicating herself to helping countless patients and families.
Christine was intelligent, compassionate, and deeply patriotic. She had a sharp mind and a love of learning, often spending her free time reading books of every genre and expanding her knowledge. She also loved holidays, especially Christmas. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her unwavering sense of duty, and her kind and steady presence.
She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Seiler of Paw Paw; her sister, Karen (John W.) Streeter; and her nieces, Sarah, Amber, and Alexandria Streeter, who cherished their aunt dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Seiler, in 2012.
A burial will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Lawton Chamberlin Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at her mother’s home, 42972 32nd St, Paw Paw, MI, to share memories and honor Christine’s life.
Christine’s legacy of love, service, and strength will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
