Christopher Todd Kniss, 56, of Bangor, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw.
He was born June 22, 1968, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the son of John Kniss and Bonnie Lee (Baker) Kniss.
Chris was a graduate of Paw Paw High School Class of 1986. After high school, he went on to earn his Associate's degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 1993 and then his Bachelor's in 1997 from Davenport University. His faith was a huge part of his life. He was an active member the Paw Paw Seventh-Day Adventist Church and served as a youth leader. Chris was also active in the Epilepsy Foundation. In his spare time, he loved crafting things, cooking and reading. Chris was a gentle soul who will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his two daughters, Abby and Ashlee Kniss and brothers, Jason (Amy) Kniss and Michael (Diana) Kindig.
Chris was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Candy Michele Kniss on November 29, 2018; brother, Kevin Kniss; sister-in-law, Elaine Kniss and parents, John and Bonnie Kniss.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Paw Paw Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 60409 M-40 Highway, Paw Paw. A memorial service will commence at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Chris will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton at a later date.
