Clark Deforest Smith, age 80, of Three Rivers and formerly of Lawton, passed away October 17, 2020. Clark was born March 31, 1940 in Grand Junction, Colorado, to the late Lloyd Deforest Smith and Susie (Donohoo) Smith.
Clark was an avid train enthusiast, from working on them to traveling on them. He enjoyed road trips and fall color tours. Clark worked for the State of Michigan at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital from 1973-1992. He then went on to work for the KLS&C Dinner Train in Paw Paw, Michigan from 1988-1994. Clark had a peaceful and calm personality and a wonderful smile, he loved spending time around his family and helping others.
Clark is survived by his brother, Frank (Julie) Smith, sisters, Una Smith and Keitha Hannah, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Clark was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sister, Martha Smith and brothers, George and Eugene Smith.
There will be a graveside service held September 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, VFW Section in Eaton Rapids, MI.
