Darren Scott Bean

Darren Scott Bean, 50, of Saginaw, formerley of Lawrence, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 26, 2026, at his home.

He was born July 25, 1975, in Saint Joseph, Michigan, the son of Daryl Bean and Elaine (Bergeson) Bean.

Darren graduated from Lawrence High School and Western Michigan University. Darren was a talented athlete in high school and loved to play sports; while also being an honors student.

Darren was an avid Star Wars fan and collected Star Wars memorabilia. He had an entire room dedicated to Star Wars! He also enjoyed watching sports and loved the Chicago Bears and Michigan State Spartans. Darren had a passion for dogs, especially bully breeds, and owned many dogs throughout the years. He liked to play with them and spoil them. He adored his family and looked forward to the family get-together's and cooking for his family during the holidays.

Darren was an optimistic person, never letting anything slow him down or stop him from what he wanted to do. He was a kind soul, treating everyone with the utmost respect. Darren will be deeply missed but his bright spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Daryl and Elaine Bean; beloved dogs, Bane and Jyn; best friend, Brian, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Sheila Baker officiating.
