David Louis Cole

David Louis Cole, 73, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo after a long battle with cancer.

He was born December 31, 1951, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of Louis Cole and Joan (French) Cole.

Dave grew up in the Farmington area and moved to Paw Paw in 1976 when he married Debby.

He completed the Electrical Apprenticeship program through the IBEW Local 131. In 1988 Dave opened Edison Electric. He took great pride in every job he did.

One of his passions was travel, with his all-time favorite destination being Hawaii, where he traveled many times. He also enjoyed elk and pheasant hunting as well as a good martini. A country boy at heart, he enjoyed raising chickens and caring for his dogs. Above all else however, his family meant the world to him and he always looked forward to time spent with them.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Carr) Cole; daughters, Sheri (Steve) Manning and Candi (John) Miller; son, John (Lorelei) Cole; grandchildren, Cody Miller, Connor Miller, Shayna and Rylee; sister, Sandy Sinnett; brother, Barry (Judy) Edison; sister-in-law, Cindy (Robert) Law and niece, Nicole Sands.

Dave was reunited in heaven with his grandson, Riley Manning.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. Burial will follow at Chamberlin Cemetery in Lawton.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dave may be directed to the SPCA of Southwest Michigan or to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
