David Charles Mihelich

David Charles Mihelich, 72, of Paw Paw MI, passed away on January 9, 2024.  Born August 16, 1951, David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his children, Michael and Michelle; his wife, Patricia; sister, Sharon and his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Charles; his mother, Betty and his wife of 40 years, Diane.

A graduate of Paw Paw High School, David served in the US Air Force as a helicopter technician.

Upon his military retirement, David joined the US postal service and worked his way up to become postmaster. After which he reenlisted and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant in the Michigan Air National Guard.

During his lifetime David enjoyed many activities, which included playing softball, woodworking and searching for antiques to sell.  He was an active member of the community and served on the Paw Paw school board.

As a member of his local American Legion, post #68, David competed at national level color guard competitions.

David worshipped at Freshwater Community Church in Paw Paw, MI.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at a later date.
