Delphine M. (Lula) Stevens

Delphine Marcella Stevens, 86, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023.

She was born September 6, 1937, in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Alexander "Alex" Lula and Eleanore Agnes (Grudecki) Lula.

Delphine was a 1955 graduate of Paw Paw High School. She completed two years of floral design at MSU, then Davenport University as a Paralegal. She was married in Chicago on August 22, 1959, to James Stevens. The couple lived in the suburbs of Chicago for many years before returning to Paw Paw. Delphine loved designing flowers for family weddings, being around people and going dancing.

She is survived by her son, James Stevens; grandchildren, Alexander, Thomas and Catherine; sister-in-law, Shauna Lula and her niece, Suzanne (late Jessie) Farkas. Delphine was preceded in death by her husband James and her brother, Richard Francis Lula.

Family and friends are invited to an open house Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
