Donald passed away at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Don was born February 1, 1937 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Edward and Mary (Lahey) Pearson. After graduation from high school Don served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Coca Cola after many years working as a mechanic. Don loved woodworking and enjoyed nature, particularly feeding the squirrels. He also loved going to the casinos and enjoyed watching football on the weekends. Don is survived by his daughter, Yvette (Michael) Weigel; grandchildren, Myranda (Todd) Tapper, Marissa Jones and Megan Stainbrook; great grandchildren, Aliqui and Lane; brother, Bill (Reba) Pearson and a sister, Marion Charon; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday (10/19), 9:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Adams Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
