Donald William Rhodes

Donald William Rhodes, 75, of Paw Paw, passed away Friday May 22, 2026, at MediLodge of Marshall.

He was born November 23, 1950, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Earl Rhodes and Virginia (Beheler) Rhodes.

Don was a proud Army Veteran and enjoyed helping out at the American Legion. He graduated from the University of Tennessee following his service in the military.

Don was a staple of Paw Paw. He could often be seen riding his bike around town, fishing, stopping in at Brewsters for a cup of coffee and selling at the Farmers Market. He was an extremely talented artist and liked to make pottery and draw. Many were in awe of Don's artistic talents and liked to buy his art. Don's presence will be deeply missed by his friends and family and his beloved community of Paw Paw.

He is survived by his sister, Ellen (Jim) VanHorn and brother, David (Linda) Rhodes.

Don was preceded in passing by his parents, sister, Martha Ullemeyer and brother, Richard Rhodes.

In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no public services at this time. He will be laid to rest at West Oshtemo Cemetery at a later date.
