Dorothy Jane (Boudreau) Blatson

Dorothy Jane Blatson, age 83, of Lawton, passed away August 17, 2016 at her home. She was born February 12, 1933 in Kalamazoo Michigan to the late Duncan and Nellie (Warren) Boudreau. She is survived by her three children, Terre (Bruce) Peters of Paw Paw, Chris Blatson of Columbia, TN, and Mike Blatson of Mattawan, six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one sister, Marie Leppen of Kalamazoo. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Blatson, son, Tom Blatson, sisters, Mary and Betty and her brothers, Bill and Joe. Dorothy retired from Welch’s in Lawton after many years of service. She took pride in crocheting for over 60 years, making hats and mittens that she donated to hospice and area schools. She was a member of the Paw Paw Eagles and cooked for Bingo. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo. A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Almena Cemetery, with Pastor Donna Keyte officiating. memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
