Douglas Wynn Wyman, 70, of Climax, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his home.
He was born January 11, 1955, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of Neil Hathaway Wyman and Carol Janis (Hendrichsen) Barton.
Doug attended Mattawan and Climax Schools. He worked in the Kellogg area at a Kayo and Waterlift. Doug loved his country and was proud to live in the United States.
He loved hunting, spending time with his family, hunting, and target practicing with his best friend.
On July 1, 2000, Doug married Lynnette King who survives him. The two shared 25 wonderful years together and Doug loved his "Nettie"!
He is also survived by his children, Douglas Wyman Jr, Dougie Wyman, Ben Sack, Aimee Miller, Justin Wyman and Tyler Wyman; siblings, Jeff (Nee) Wyman, Sherry (Chris) Hindmarsh, David (Beth) Solms, Bill (Diane) Barton, Michelle Barton and Paul (Leslie) Barton, stepfather, William Barton Sr; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in passing by his father and stepmother, Neil (Mary) Wyman and mother, Carol Barton.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Galesburg Congregational United Church of Christ, 22 S. Church Street, Galesburg, MI 49053. A funeral service will commence at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Whitney A. Brown officiating. Doug will be laid to rest at Augusta Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Doug may be directed to the Wings of Hope Hospice Home, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
