Edward Oliver Wilson

Edward Oliver Wilson, age 69, after a courageous fight with cancer, lost his battle to the disease on July 2, 2025.

Ed was born on March 11, 1956, in Ann Arbor, MI, to the late George C. & Helen E. (Morrison) Wilson. Ed was a proud Eagle Scout, alumnus of Belleville High School Class of 1974 and a graduate of Michigan State University. He shared many stories about his time in Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. For over 40 years, Ed was a Commercial Lender for many southwest Michigan businesses. He served on several non-profit boards in his life; most notably Community Living Options in Kalamazoo.

Ed LOVED the outdoors. His fondest memories are the Boundary Water trips with his twin brother, Richard. Ed was an avid hunter and enjoyed his exploits in Michigan & Wisconsin for the elusive Whitetail. He will no doubt miss the time hunting with his brother-in-law, Ron, in the Kickapoo Valley region. Ed and his wife, Beth, bicycled, backpacked, rafted, kayaked, and camped in many areas of the country. While his daughters were young, many special moments were created on camping trips during their summer vacations. National parks and battleground sites were typically their destinations. Ed’s special, new love in his life was his granddaughter, Parker, age 6.

Ed leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Beth; daughters: Jessica (Dan) Evert & Parker; and Lindsey (Oli); sister Dr. Carol Peterson (Gary) and brother Richard (Martha). On the Wilson side are nieces Jenny, Emily (Daniel), & Laura (James) and nephew David. Also, to the many extended relatives by marriage in Wisconsin and across the country.

Ed will be missed by his family and friends, but he is no longer in pain and he is at peace with his Lord. He will be forever in our hearts.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw, MI. A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m.
