The daughter of William and Ottilga Lembke, she was born September 16, 1932, in Neche, North Dakota, and spent her childhood years there. When she got older, life with Lyle took her from coast to coast. Life in California brought along Dora. Many car trips to visit most of the continental states. Returning to ND for a time brought Michael into the picture. Lyle's job centered their life in Jefferson City, Missouri and spent the majority of her life there. She recently relocated to Portage, Michigan to be closer to her son.
Evelyn loved to quilt in her spare time and was very active in her church. Trips were enjoyed when times were quieter with only Lyle. Cards brought out the competitor. She was pretty good at flagging fly's for Michael.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Elaine Amaya) Petsinger of Mattawan, MI; son-in-law, Robert M. Shea of St. Peters, MO; sister, Helen Jackson of Fargo, ND.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle O. Petsinger; daughter, Dora Shea; brother, Rudolf Lembke and sisters, Dorthy Panasuk and Madeline Reimer.
Cremation has taken place. Per Evelyn's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
