Grace Phyllis (Byrne) Richmond

Grace Phyllis Richmond, 80, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday October 16, 2021 at her home in Paw Paw.

She was born February 24, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Byrne and Marie (Wilson) Byrne.

Grace enjoyed babysitting children in the Paw Paw community. It was more than just babysitting, she and her husband, George, became a part of the family. Grace would support the children by attending events and even teaching them how to ride a bike. After her husband retired, she enjoyed traveling to many countries and all around the United States. She was a longtime active parishioner at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Paw Paw.

On April 4, 1964, in Paw Paw, she married George Richmond who survives.

She is also survived by her son, Arthur Richmond; her sister, Stephanie Koldash; step brother, William and three step sisters, Barbara, Mary and Irene.

Grace was preceded in death by her son, Alan Richmond in 1989, her sister, Della Quance, step sister, Cleo and step brother, Joseph.

Services for Grace will be private. She will be laid to rest at Almena Cemetery in Paw Paw.
