Hazel Elaine (Howe) Fritts

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Hazel Elaine Fritts, passed away on November 16, 2021, at the age of 84 at home with her family by her side. Hazel was born in her family home in Newaygo, Michigan, daughter to the late Joseph and Dorothy (Harris) Howe. At the age of 18, Hazel met and later married the love of her life, Orville Lee Fritts. Together they raised a beautiful family with five children. She loved gardening, spending time with her friends and family, singing, and all of the simple things in life, like getting her hair done at the salon and visiting with her friends at Tea Pot. She is survived by her daughters, Rachel (Rick) Darling, Norine (David) Fritts and Laura (Mike) Merritt, siblings, Elon Howe, Clyde (Gale) Howe and Daisy Siminoff, grandchildren, Jamie, Amanda, Torrie, Lilly, Frank, Crystal, Orville, Jennie, Christopher, Nathaniel, Jewlene and Lewis along 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Orville, daughter, Rose, son, Gary, granddaughter, Kera Rose and six siblings, Donald, JC, Vera, Arden, Jerry and Marvin. Hazel was loved by many and will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life held next spring so all family members and friends may attend.
