Jacqueline Ruth Reynolds-Hayward

Jacqueline Reynolds-Hayward, a dedicated teacher, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the age of 63. She was a longtime resident of Mattawan and Paw Paw.

Born on January 14, 1962, in Green Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, Jacquie was the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Gilbert) Reynolds. She was also lovingly connected to her birth mother, Betty Sims.

Jacquie's greatest joy and first calling was raising her children. She dedicated her early years to staying home to nurture and guide her kids. Once her children were in school, she embarked on her second passion: teaching, where she spent many years in Van Buren County schools. Working with young students was truly her calling, a role where her kindness and patience shone brightest.

In her free time, Jacquie was an enthusiastic crafter and knitter, always creating something beautiful for those she loved. Above all else, her biggest love was spending time with her grandchildren.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her husband George Hayward and her parents.

Surviving are her four sons, Kevin (Kayla) Hayward, Joshua (Paula) Hayward, Brian (Katie) Hayward, Michael (Alyssa) Hayward; two daughters, Daria (John) Hayward and Aubrey (Chris) Hayward; ten grandchildren, Claire, Addalyn, Chase, Harper, Camila, Hadley, Amelia, Wyatt, Hudson and Roman; sister, Holly (Bob) Herriges; and her family in Canada.

A reception to celebrate Jacqueline's life will be held on Saturday, November 15th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Antwerp Township Hall.
