James Eugene Harrington, 76, of Lawrence, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at his home in Lawrence.
He was born June 23, 1950, in Canton, Ohio, the son of George Walter Harrington and Pauline (Halter) Harrington.
Jim graduated with a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. He worked as an addictions therapist counselor for many years at Community Healing Center in Kalamazoo before retirement. Jim loved music and had his own rock band in New York, called "H.H. Pandangle".
He is survived by his sister, Susan (Joe) Freese; daughter, Jane Duffy; and friend, Laura Booth.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and brothers, George and Kenny Harrington.
In accordance with Jim's wishes, cremation will take place. There will be no public services at this time.
