Jo Ann Blum, age, 72, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 10, 2014 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. Jo Ann was born September 3, 1942 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of the late Richard W. and Marian E. (White) Pfister. She was a graduate of Lawton High School class of 1960. Jo Ann worked at the Lawton Public Library and had a passion for reading. She enjoyed camping, her annual trip to Gulf Shores, Alabama walking on the beaches and most of all spending time with her loving grandchildren. On April 5, 1963 in Lawton, Jo Ann was united in marriage to Robert A. Blum who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Amy (Jason) Beaudoin of Lawton and James Blum of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Lucas and Dylan Beaudoin; siblings, Carol (Kenneth) Wilder, Patricia (Wayne) Christie and Richard (Rita) Pfister all of Lawton; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Wednesday, 5-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions may be made to Lawton Public Library or Rose Arbor Hospice Residence, Kalamazoo.
