Julia K. (Hendrickson) Rotzien

Julie passed away November 30, 2022 due to complications of Crohn's disease.  Julie was born March 2, 1949, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Raymond and Frances Hendrickson.

After high school in South Bend, Julie attended Ferris State College, graduating as a pharmacist.  While in college, Julie met and married her husband, Philip E. Rotzien.  As a pharmacist, Julie worked for many years in Berrien Springs, Paw Paw and the Upjohn Company.  Later she and Phil owned and operated Viking Sewing Center in Kalamazoo, where she shared her love of sewing and quilting with many.

Julie was preceded in death by her husband Philip E. Rotzien and infant child, Philip C. Rotzien as well as her parents Raymond and Frances Hendrickson and mother in law Bette Eller.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jared and Allison Rotzien and two grand-daughters, Frances and Anawae.  Also surviving are siblings Mark (Mary) Hendrickson, Bruce (Laurie) Hendrickson and Valerie Hendrickson and several Nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Julie has been cremated and a private service will be held at Prospect Lake Cemetery in Lawrence, Michigan.
