Karen Louise Nast

Karen Louise Nast was born on July 25, 1952, in Valley City, Ohio.

She is survived by her three children; Dianna Searles Hill, Scott (Kyle) Searles, Jesse Lawson, and a bonus daughter, Rene (Bill) Haluch. Her brother, Roy aka Lee (Jan) Fitzsimmons and sister, Gayle (Mark) Mayne. A grandson and several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored her. Karen was also starting a new adventure with Brian Rhinesmith, a special man in her life.

Karen had several close friends, Tricia (Mike) Decker, Pam Decker, Linda May and a church family.

She was a devoted member and served as a deacon at her church, North Presbyterian of Kalamazoo, where she also volunteered with the Togetherness Group. Karen had a love for her family, friends, dogs, and her church. As a child, Karen enjoyed riding horses on her grandparents farm.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on April 6, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at The North Presbyterian Church, 345 W. Michigan Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, with a luncheon to follow.
