Kathaleen Rose Yancey, 87, of Lawton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Maple Lake Assisted Living in Paw Paw.
She was born August 21, 1938, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Donald Kenyon Quick and LaWave Rose Jenny.
Kathy was a devout Christian and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Lawton for many years. She dedicated many hours volunteering for the church. In her working life, she was a sharp real estate broker. Dealing real estate was Kathy's passion, and she was very good at it. She could tell you anything about dealing real estate!
Kathy was a strong and independent woman, never backing down from a challenge or hardship. She was extremely grateful she was able to provide for herself and her family. She was their rock, and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her.
She is survived by her 5 children, Lauren (Sue) Bradshaw, Mark Bradshaw, Calvin (Monique) Bradshaw, Connie (Carl) Pond and Anthony Bradshaw; grandchildren, Samantha (Markus) Dezsi, Derek (Rachel) Pond, Miranda (Dr. Matthew) Mayuiers, Adam Bradshaw, Autumn Bradshaw and six great-grandchildren, Jaimey Bradshaw, Samantha Bradshaw, Franklin Dezsi, Julius Dezsi, Diedrick Pond, and Meredith Pond.
Kathy was lucky enough to find love twice in her life and is preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Whipple and Clyde Yancey. She is also preceded in passing by her parents, and grandson, Chad James Bradshaw.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ron Packer officiating. Kathy will be laid to rest next to her grandson at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton immediately following.
