Leslie David Utter

Leslie David Utter, 66, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at University of Michigan Health West in Wyoming, Michigan.

He was born September 26, 1959, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the son of Leslie J. Utter and Barbara (Jacobs) Utter.

Leslie proudly served his country in the Army and National Guard. He enjoyed working on his vehicles and tinkering. He liked to travel, go out with his friends and spend time with his dog. Around the holidays, he helped distribute hot meals to the homeless in Grand Rapids.

He is survived by the love of his life, Rhonda Phillips; children, David (Tia) Utter, Heather (Frank) Dunham, Melissa Utter and Amanda Utter; along with three sisters, Lynn Kowalkowski, Lori (Stanley) Wills, and Peggy Scarborough.

Leslie was preceded in passing by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
