Lillie passed away Sunday morning, April 7, 2013 in Orchard Grove Extended Care Center, Benton Harbor. Lillie was born April 1, 1916 on Heidelberg, MS the daughter of the late Sam and Addie (Newell) Head. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling and caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter, Monica (Freddie) Jones of Lawrence; son, Sam I. Simmons of Harvey, LA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Dora M. Cooley of Vossburg, MS; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Tyree Head, Otis Head, Annie M. Sapp ad Myra Head. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
