Linda Jo Buskirk-Miller

Linda Jo Buskirk-Miller, 54, of Paw Paw, passed away suddenly on July 28, 2025, at her home.

Linda was born on January 13, 1971, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to Dion Buskirk Jr. and Sandra (Sherburn) Jack.

Linda attended Paw Paw Public Schools where she graduated with her GED. She recently returned to college to further her education. She started at Southwestern Michigan University before transferring to Kalamazoo Valley Community College, where she earned her Associates Degree in General Studies in 2024. She then transferred to Western Michigan University, where she was in the process of earning her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Linda was one semester away from receiving her degree. Linda proudly made the Dean's List each semester at SWMU, KVCC and WMU.

Linda married Rick Miller of Lawton in 1995. Linda and Rick had two sons together, Kyle and Ted Miller. In 1999, the couple divorced but still remained lifelong friends. Linda had her daughter, Taylor Kirby a few years after.

Linda was a strong advocate for mental health and suicide prevention. Many local residents were graced by what she called her "Ding Dong Ditch Bags"! These bags consisted of her homemade baked goods, mental health and suicide prevention materials and other personal items. It was Linda's goal to start a non-profit organization for suicide prevention after earning her degree from WMU.

Linda was preceded in death by her son, Kyle Miller; her father, Dion Buskirk Jr; paternal grandparents, Dion Sr and Erma (King) Buskirk and maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary (Pachner) Sherburn.

Linda leaves behind her son, Ted (Megan) Miller; her daughter, Taylor; granddaughter, Remi; her significant other, Kevin Terry; mother, Sandra (Tracy) Jack; sisters, Amy Buskirk, Grace (Justin) Lennon; brother, Robert (Jessica) Jack; and stepmother, Sarah Buskirk. Linda also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and many close personal friends, including Kathy (Booper) Coombs.

In accordance with her wishes, Linda will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at the Paw Paw Eagles Club, 63237 M-40 Highway, Lawton, on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
