Margery Johnette (Karier) Boise

Margery Johnette Boise, 81, of Portage, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023. She was born in Gobles on June 4, 1942, daughter of the late John Karier and Arabella (Cochran) Karier.

Margery was married to Jerry L. Boise who preceded her in death. She had a longtime passion for knitting, crocheting and sewing. She also loved to spend time in the kitchen baking. Most of all, Margery loved to have her family around.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy (Bryan) Sutton of Kalamazoo, five grandchildren, Tajhia Boise, Josh Boise, Brandon Hodge, Noah Sutton and Jared Dillenbeck: four great-grandchildren, Shaelah, Camden, Amelia and Everleigh.

In addition to her husband, Margery was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Boise, Jr., and her daughter, Julie Boise.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church, 5045 East Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo on Friday December 1, 2023, at 3:30 p.m.
