Martin "Marty" Joseph Koziol

Martin (Marty) Joseph Koziol, 75, of Grand Junction, went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday September 18, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving wife and children.

He was born September 25, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Joseph Koziol and Agnes (Skupien) Koziol.

Marty had a variety of hobbies he enjoyed, one of which was metal detecting. He was a member of the Southwest Michigan Seek and Search Club. He enjoyed collaborating with others and sharing their finds and especially hunting for gold. Martin also was an avid recycler who saw value in all items. Sailing with his family on the lakes, playing cards, and morel mushroom hunting were some of his other hobbies that he enjoyed sharing with others.

Above all else, he loved Jesus and attending his home church where him and Linda are faithful members. Spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He is survived by the love of his life, Linda (Guritz) Koziol; children, Rachael (Mike) Smith and Andrew (Tammy) Koziol; grandchildren, Lucas Luscomb, Hannah Cassle and Jessica Cassle; and great-grandchildren, Julianna and Haasani Hunt.

Martin was preceded in passing by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Horseshoe Community Bible Church, 4950 104th Avenue, Grand Junction, MI 49056, beginning at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held following the service at the church.
