Maryann Berry

Maryann Berry, 83, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at her home in Paw Paw.

She was born May 24, 1943, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the daughter of Walter Owsiany and Violet (Osborne) Owsiany.

Maryann was known to many as "mom" and was a very easy-going person, despite her rough exterior. She enjoyed her trips up north to her cabin with family. Maryann owned many motorcycles and rode as often as she could. She was always on the lookout for yard sales and anything free on the curbside. Maryann enjoyed reading and collecting items, especially anything pig related. Her home was always very clean and organized. Maryann loved her junk food, coffee and cigarettes. Her neighbor's knew her as having the "noisiest" windmill around. Above all else, Maryann loved and cherished her family. She was extremely generous and would do anything for them. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son, Raymond (Tammy Jo) Berry; daughter, Robin (Christopher Davidson) Ponicki; grandchildren, Caleb Berry, Shelby (Brandon) Wanink and Leona Ponicki; great-grandson, Elijah Root; and brothers, Dick (Kathy) Owsiany and Roger Owsiany.

Maryann was preceded in passing by her parents, husband, Raymond "Carl" Berry and siblings, Carol Ragen Stone and Walter Owsiany.

In accordance with Maryann's wishes, cremation will take place. There will be a memorial service later in the summer.
