Mary Lou (Stout) Bontrager went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2023.
She was born in Pullman, Michigan on July 18, 1934 to Hudson and Marjorie (Walker) Stout. She graduated from Bloomingdale High School. Mary Lou was employed at Consumers Power Company, retiring after 30 years of service. In 1955, she married Glen M. Bontrager who survives.
She is also survived by her daughter; Sherida (Michael) Janecke, son; Craig (Tina) Bontrager, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and sister; Nancy (Jim) Shaddy.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Luella (Ivan) Bellon and Doreva Christner and four brothers; Merlin (Temple), Rodney (Joyce), Arlo (Wennonah) and Larry (Janet) Stout.
Mary Lou will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mattawan Community Church or Centrica Care Navigators.
