Mavis Ladyman Conolly

Mavis Ladyman Conolly, 95, of Paw Paw, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.

She was born August 6, 1930, in Senath, Missouri, the daughter of Marion Ladyman and Myrtle (Damron) Ladyman.

Mavis was a longtime member of the Paw Paw First Baptist Church and dedicated her time helping out at the church. She worked at the Paw Paw Shopping Center for 22 years before retiring. Mavis was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved them so much that her and Roger went to a Tigers Game for their honeymoon! She enjoyed reading on her Kindle and watching Court TV every afternoon with Linda.

Above all else, Mavis was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved time spent with her grandchildren and adored them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Marvin) Imus; son, Steve (Sharon) Conolly; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Ambrose, Julie (Chris) Maurer, Jeffery (Kim) Conolly Jr, James "Jim" Conolly, Sarah (Jon) Hokenmaier and Amanda Imus, many great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Burnside and several nieces and nephews.

Mavis was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roger Allan Conolly on April 7, 2011; son, Rev. Jeffery Scott Conolly Sr, and sisters, Maxine Penar, Jane Leeson and Marie Makins.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Paw Paw First Baptist Church, 32464 E. Red Arrow Highway, Paw Paw, with Rev. Buddy Turner officiating. Mavis will be laid to rest immediately following at Almena Cemetery, next to her dear Roger.
