Michael Jordan Babcock

Michael Jordan Babcock, 38, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday July 28, 2021.

He was born November 28, 1982 in Kalamazoo, the son of Viola (Babcock) Ellison and the late Mark Ellison.

Michael is survived by his mother and step-father, Viola (Gerry Burns) Ellison, his four children, Lilly, Matthew, Madison and Christian, four siblings, Marcus Ellison, Scott (Ashleigh) Ellison, Amy (Jimmy) Mixter and Maggie Burns, his grandmother, Margaret (late Andrew Sr.) Babcock along with several nieces and nephews aunts and uncles. Michael was preceded in death by his father Mark Ellison, grandparents, Howard (Barb) Ellison, Sr., his uncle Dennis Ellison and his uncle Howard Ellison Jr.

Michael had a fun and loving spirit, he loved his kids and being together with his family. As he was an excellent cook, he enjoyed making the holiday meals for the family. Michael had a talent for art and took pride in many sketches and drawings. To pass time Michael would go fishing and during the winter he enjoyed ice fishing.

Private visitation and funeral services have taken place.
