Michelle Marie Martinez

Michelle Marie Martinez, 60, of Lawton, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was born January 22, 1965, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Linda (Berkey) Beebe and the late Val Gaikis.

Those who knew Michelle will remember her boundless selflessness and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. For more than 25 years, she dedicated herself to serving others as a registered nurse. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family. Michelle loved crafting of all kinds and found happiness in creating handmade gifts that brought warmth to every home and heart she touched. Above all, she lived for her grandchildren, who were truly the light of her life.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband, Leopoldo Martinez; two daughters, Melina (Anthony) Leonard and Abigail (John) Copp; and her five cherished grandchildren: Olivia, Madelynne, Roman, Amelia, and Gabriella. She is also survived by her sister, Rhonda Johnston, and her brother, Janis (Carla) Gaikis.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. David Pinto officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton. After the cemetery committal, a luncheon will be held at the Paw Paw Eagles from 4–8 p.m.
