Pauline Effie Gillette, 87, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday March 4, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born September 13, 1937, in Paw Paw, Michigan, the daughter of the late Donald C. Sirrine and Frances (Mearing/Duart) Sirrine.
Pauline worked at Contech Solutions for 30+ years and volunteered at the Decatur Human Services. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and other game shows and being outside in the sun as well as visiting with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by eight grandchildren, Dan (Erin) Rigoni, Jennifer (Mike) Zordan, Tom (Diana) Staunton, Tony Rigoni, Tonja (Rob Terveen) Rigoni, Darrick (Tess) Gillette, Jocelyn (Jason) LeMarbe and Shaylyn Gillette; she is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Arthur, Lester, Donald, and William Sirrine; four sisters Ann Good, Patricia Stanfill, Helen Moon and Doris Watts; her children, Shirley Newcomb, Otho "Duffy" Gillette, Kyle Gillette and Glenn "Bud" Gillette; grandson, Levi Newcomb, two great-grandchildren Zachary Zordan and Danny Rigoni and one great-great granddaughter.
Cremation has taken place. Per Pauline's wishes, there will be no public services at this time
