Robert Lee Casasanto

Robert Lee Casasanto, 82, of Hartford, passed away Monday August 8, 2022.

He was born June 19, 1940, in Kalamazoo, the son of Thomas Casasanto and Phyllis (Silvestri) Casasanto.

Bob began his career with General Motors in 1969 and remained a dedicated employee until his retirement in 2000. In earlier years, Bob enjoyed fishing and would often take his children along to introduce them to the sport. Since 1985 he was a member of the Moose Lodge, Legion 116, Lodge 2239. Bob relocated to Shreveport, LA, for  21 years, before returning to Michigan as his health declined. He spent his spare time woodworking and taking care of his lawn and yard.

Bob is survived by his son, Bryan Casasanto, two daughters, Roberta Casasanto and Angela (Michael) Houser; two brothers, Frank (Marcia) Casasanto and Thomas Casasanto; step-son, Timothy (Brenda) Davis and step-daughter, Tamara Davis; six grandchildren, Olivia (Max) Eberhart, Julia Casasanto, Kale Casasanto-Zimmermann, Soutine Casasanto-Zimmermann, August Gallagher and Zackary Houser. step-grandchildren, Erica, Kara, Tah Tianna and Keeshawn, one great grandchild, Chloe.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Ellinger) Casasanto, brother, Paul Casasanto and sister, Marylou Conner.

Family and friends are invited to visit and share memories on Monday, August 15, 2022 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Bob will be placed to rest at Saint Mary Cemetery at a later date.
