of Gobles passed away Tuesday, August 2 in Kalamazoo, MI. Robert was born on August 4, 1940 in Allegan, MI, the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth Greene. Bob was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsman Union of Kalamazoo, spending most of his life in construction. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw and was an avid hunter and ice fisherman. On April 1, 1967, Bob married Patricia Bartholomew, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Andrew (Kathryn) Greene; daughter, Emily (Steve) Troy; grandchildren, Abigail, Gabrielle and Alexandra Troy; Cameron and Nolan Greene and Zach; brothers, Joseph (Susan) Greene, Donald (Linda) Greene, and Richard Greene; sisters, Marcia Parker and Carol (Gordon) Brown; step mother in law, Frances Bartholomew; sisters in law, Donna Bartholomew and Linda (George) Truman; brother in law, Michael (Pam) Bartholomew; brother in law, Bill (Kathy) Piller, Joe (Tracy) Piller; sister in law, Sue (Jon) Dickens; many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by a brother, Kendall Greene; a sister, Nancy Dibella; mother and father in law, Claude (Emily) Bartholomew. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Monday, August 15 at the Paw Paw Trinity Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Military honors will follow by the American Legion McGowan Johnson post 68 of Paw Paw.
