Robert John "Tink" Timkovich, 81, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital, after a courageous battle with prostate and pancreatic cancer.
He was born in Santa Monica, California, on April 29, 1944, the son of the late John and Mary (Dillenbeck) Timkovich.
Robert was a graduate of Loy Norrix High School, where he excelled in wrestling. He retired from Kalamazoo County Juvenile Home after 20+ years. Robert loved fishing at his home on Huzzy Lake, woodworking, building dune buggies, and hunting at his farm in Lawrence. He loved to plant gardens of vegetables and share with his family and friends.
On April 19, 1968, he married Mary Lou Webb who survives him, and they spent 57 years together.
In addition to his wife, Mary Lou, he is also survived by his son, Robert John "Bobber" Timkovich Jr; one sister, Rose (Randy) Brondyke of Holland; brother-in-law, James Oros of Kalamazoo, many nieces and nephews; special friend, Courtney Gass and many more friends that were like family, there are too many to mention, but you know who you are.
Cremation will take place. In accordance with Robert's wishes, there will be no public services at this time.
