Verlin Daniel Rogers

Verlin Daniel Rogers, 79, of Lawton, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Blueberry Hill Assisted Living in Lawton.

He was born August 22, 1944, in Manila, Arkansas, the son of Robert Rogers and Sada Mae (Mason) Rogers.

Verlin worked for Knouse Foods for over 30 years as a forklift driver. He loved to read and watch old western movies and shows. Verlin cherished his time spent with the ones he loved, so much so that every Saturday he would get together and play poker with his brothers, cousin and friends. He was known for his ability to play poker. They also enjoyed going out to fish. His big heart extended far beyond his immediate family, his extended family and friends all knew him as "Uncle".

He is survived by his nephew; Richard Rogers, nieces; Paula Nappier and Vicky (Rick) Cochran, his sister-in-law, Lucille Rogers, along with many beloved great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Verlin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Manzy and Darrell Rogers, cousin and best friend; Odis (Pat) Rogers and niece; Sheila Datema.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, March 1, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw. A funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Marcel Pichot officiating. Verlin will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lawton.
