Passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2011 at his home. Willie was born November 26, 1930 in Kulm, ND the son of the late Andrew and Rose (Opp) Mitzel. On February 3, 1948 in Morehead, MN Willie was united in marriage to Norma June Larson who survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Claudia (Ben) Johnson of Lawton, Carla (Mike) Betzner of Mattawan, Zona (Dick) Block of Portage, Rob (Trish) Mitzel of Battle Creek, and Wilbert "Jinks" Mitzel of Plainwell; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Arlene) Asenbauer of Kalamazoo; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Asenbauer and 3 sisters, Barbara Peckels, Rose Wetzler and Tillie Sanheim. There will no visitation or services and cremation has taken place. Arrangements by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
