William Junior Mauk

William Junior Mauk, 82, of Lawton, passed away Monday June 9, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

He was born December 23, 1942, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the son of William Mauk and Martha (Maxam) Perkins.

Bill worked as a plumber and pipefitter for his entire career and was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 357. He was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. Bill also volunteered for the Lawton Football "Chain Gang" on the sidelines for over 35 years! He looked forward to every game and was proud to help and cheer on his Blue Devil Football. He was a cherished member of the Lawton Lions Club as well.

Bill had many hobbies and interests that he participated in during his free time. He loved to hunt and fish. He took a yearly fishing trip to Canada and caught many walleyes on Lake Erie. Bill also enjoyed bowling, playing softball, snowmobiling and motorcycle/drag racing!

He is survived by his wife, Mary Barbara (Douglas) Mauk; daughter, Vicki (Rich) Van Slambrouck; son, Willie (Tiffany) Mauk; step-daughters, Lorie Starks and Rhonda Washington; five grandchildren, Christopher Mauk, Karalyn (Harry) Poster, Amber Mauk, Luke Van Slambrouck and Tori VanSlambrouck; brother, Roland (Elaine) Rife and many step-grandchildren and other extended family members.

Bill was preceded in death by parents, his first wife of 30+ years, Linda K. Mauk and sisters, Marlene (late Robert) Ritter, Lois (late Lou) Spencer and Clara Fisher.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, June 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw.
