Emma Ann (Bloem) Ridderbos

Emma Ann Ridderbos, 99, of Portage, MI, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

She was born October 28, 1921 in Winschoten, Groningen, Netherlands to the late Christiaan and Wilhelmina (Balkema) Bloem.

Emma retired from the Parker-Hannifin Company. She was a Wolverine 4H knitting club member for more than 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ridderbos August 22, 2008, two grandchildren, two brothers, Fobbo and Peter, two sisters, Ann and Wilhelmina and her brother in law, Tom (Ruth) Ridderbos.

She is survived by her four daughters, Grace Gustafson of Gobles, MI, Eleanor (late Michael) Gray of Surprise, AZ, Marcia (late Kirk) Ellwanger of Pinconning, MI, Judy (Greg) Thompson of Angola, IN; three sons, Jerry (Kim) Ridderbos of Portage, MI, John (Dee) Ridderbos of Paw Paw, MI and Jim (Tracey) Ridderbos of Paw Paw, MI; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Sytsma officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Cemetery, Paw Paw.
