James Edward Paluch, of Paw Paw, MI, passed peacefully on June 21, 2022. He succumbed to a long battle with Parkinson’s and dementia.

James was born on January 1, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, to Stanley and Bernice Paluch. He graduated from Evergreen Park High school, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He served in San Diego and Hawaii. Upon discharge, James attended Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. There, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was hired by Amsted Industries in 1968. Upon retirement, James focused much of his energy on his favorite hobby- yard work. He usually spent the equivalent of a full work day tending to his beloved property on Three Mile Lake. He took great pride in his work, and it showed. Despite not playing golf, he, with the help of his brothers Stanley and Gary, built a par 3 golf course on his property. He hosted weekly tournaments with his friends for many years. James was a diehard Chicago sports fan, particularly the Chicago Cubs. He and Sharon spent much of their retirement traveling to their favorite destinations, particularly Hawaii.  James was a very giving person, and was willing to help anyone in need.
