Jay Lynn Millek

Jay Lynn Millek, 65, of Paw Paw, passed away Monday January 10, 2022 at his home.

He was born April 8, 1956 in Paw Paw, the son of the late Anthony Frank Millek and Armita (Agate) Millek.

Jay will be remembered for his fun and rather colorful sense of humor. He lived his life with a free spirit and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Prior to his declining health, Jay was an outdoorsman and enjoyed camping and golfing. Jay worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator and later in life expanded on his knowledge of technology and enjoyed working on computers and electronics.

He is survived by his son, Ryan Matthew (Beatriz) Millek; three daughters, Ryan Christine Gonzales, Kristen (Mike) Ely and Samantha (Ryan) Blackburn; three brothers, Anthony Frank (Linda) Millek Jr., Rodney (Christie) Millek and David (Michelle) Millek; two sisters, Linda Millek and Theresa (Bob) Shave; ten grandchildren, Maddison Millek, Mateo Millek, Mariah Millek, James Gonzales, Paige Nelson, Aydin Blackburn, Alayna Ely, Lia Ely, Chloe Blackburn and Carson Blackburn.

Jay was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Dent-Black.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial mass held at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Richard Altine, celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
