Kevin Thomas Brooks passed away at home on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Lawrence, Michigan where he
   
   lived for many years with his wife Ann Marie Bidwell-Brown-Brooks who survives. Kevin and Ann Marie
   
   shared a wonderful life together for 32 years.
   
   He was born April 5th, 1961 in Buffalo, New York, the son of Richard Nelsen Brooks and Catherine Rose
   
   Gutek-Brooks-McKenzie. Son in Law to Rose and Tom Reedy.
  
   Kevin is survived by his two sons. Joseph Donald Brown of Georgia and Kevin Brooks Jr. of New York. He
   
   also has three siblings; Richard (Lynn) Brooks of Lawton, MI, Charles Brooks of New York and Janine Brooks of
   
   New York.
  
   Kevin served in the United States Air Force where he learned his trade in Heating, Air Conditioning and
   
   Ventilation (HVAC) beginning at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Kevin worked in the commercial end of
   
   HVAC in Washington, D.C. for many years. He and his family later moved to Michigan and he began
   
   working as Quality Control for Absolute Aire in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and considered those there as his
   
   work family.
  
   Kevin loved to cook and share his creations with friends and family. He loved the food channels and was a master
   
   at grilling and creating mouth water entrees. He loved his Buffalo Bills and Sabre’s. Kevin was an avid
   
   bowler and received many certifications and awards for his scores. He also enjoyed Golf and competing
   
   on teams through work at Garland or playing with family and friends to practice. He loved being
   
   outdoors and riding his tractor or doing some landscaping on the property. He also enjoyed horse back
   
   riding and volunteering at veterans driven events (VFW and American Legion) in support of veterans.
  
   The family will receive friends Saturday, May 8, 2021, 2:00pm - 4:00pm. with a celebration of life at 4:00 p.m. at
   
   Adams Funeral Home, with Rev. David Small officiating. Interment will follow at the
   
   Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at noon.
   
   Memorial contributions may be directed to Saint Jude Children's Hospital or Al-Van Humane Society in South Haven, Michigan.
