Marilynn Louise (Rutherford) Riggs

Marilynn Louise Riggs, 80, of Paw Paw, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Kalamazoo. Marilynn was born June 23, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Everett Conley Rutherford and Ruth (Phillips) Rutherford.

Marilynn held a strong faith in her Lord and Savior throughout her life. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mattawan where she attended bible study. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Donald. The couple especially enjoyed the Stannard Organ Cruises where they learned to play the organ and trips to Tennessee. In later years, Marilynn loved to read and watch the old westerns on Tv. Her favorites were Gun Smoke, Cow Boy Way and John Wayne.

Marilyn was married to Donald Allen Riggs who preceded her in death in 2015.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Allen of Paw Paw, daughter, Brenda (Erwin) Bunschoten of Paw Paw, son, Keith (Sue) Riggs of KY; grandson, John E. Riggs; great granddaughter, Kallie Riggs, sister, Wanda (Tim) Metz and her sister in law, Judy (John Sr.) Loos.

Family and friends will visit at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Rawsthorne officiating. Following services, there will be a light reception with food and fellowship at the funeral home. Marilynn will be laid to rest privately on Monday, at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Baptist Church.
